JTrust Group Distributes Aid to Mount Semeru Eruption Survivors
Lumajang, February 26, 2022 – PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk. (JTrust Bank) representing JTrust Group consisting of J Trust Investment Indonesia, J Trust Olympindo Multi Finance, J Trust Consulting Indonesia, and TA-Asset Indonesia handing over aid to survivors of the Mount Semeru eruption, in Pronojiwo District, Lumajang Regency, Java East. The handover of aid was carried out by the President Director of J Trust Bank Ritsuo Fukadai accompanied by the Director of TA-Asset Indonesia Takeoka Takoyoshi to the Head of Pronojiwo Hindam Adri Abadan, S.IP witnessed by the Secretary of BPBD Malang City Ir Bagyo Setiono
President Director of J Trust Bank, Ritsuo Fukadai, stated that the assistance was a form of the company’s concern and commitment to help restore the condition of the community around the disaster site.
“J Trust Bank through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program has a social responsibility to develop and empower people’s lives, including responding to disasters and extending aid to communities in need. This is based on the idea that we are part of the Indonesian people,” said Ristuo Fukadai.
On that occasion, the management of JTrust Bank handed over assistance in the form of 100 stoves, 100 LPG gas cylinders, 100 regulator hoses, 100 tableware sets and 100 sets of toys and children’s reading books.
Meanwhile, the Head of Pronojiwo Hindam Adri Abadan, S.IP expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the care and assistance given by the management of J Trust Bank to the people in his area.
“The assistance from J Trust Bank is right on target because it is a basic need for the community to rebuild their lives. With the participation of the private sector like this, it will accelerate recovery after the Mount Semeru disaster,” said Hindam
On this occasion, the management of JTrust Group also took the time to visit the reading garden in the hamlet of Kamar A, Pronojiwo sub-district, which accommodates approximately 50 children who have survived the Semeru eruption.
“The children greeted us with very cheerful smiles, as if there had been no volcanic eruption. We are very happy to see them enthusiastically receiving J Trust children’s toys and books. Hopefully the conditions here will recover quickly,” concluded Fukadai.
For information, there are three pillars that underlie J Trust Bank’s CSR program which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs program, as well as in accordance with the vision and mission of Sustainable Finance, namely: economic, social, and environmental pillars. In terms of the economic pillar, the company has organized financial literacy for MSME actors and women/housewives. As for the social pillar, J Trust Bank pays attention to efforts to deal with Covid-19, distributing aid for disaster victims, education and children’s health. As for the environmental pillar, J Trust Bank participates in several environmental conservation initiatives, especially waste management.
As is known, in 2021, J Trust Bank has carried out a CSR program with 7,303 individual beneficiaries.
